June Update

June is Here!

I’m still catching up after the weekend where I was at Boston Kids Comic Festival at Northeastern University. It was a great intimate show and really captured what I love so much about vending and showing my artwork. This show offered the opportunity to really connect with young artists and readers, to give them feedback about their work and sketchbooks and share the journey of my work. I really loved getting to participate and make these connections, I hope this show returns next year I would be happy to vend at it again.

With that I dont have any shows lined up already until August when I do the Pages and Pints Expo in Plymouth, MA but thats not to say I might not add another show or appearance to my summer. I have my hands plenty full with comic projects. Speaking of which, Atlas Clarke has been sent to the printer! We are now eagerly awaiting for the physical copies to see the completed story in all its glory. There were some small last minute edits I needed to do before print and that has been done, keep a lookout for an announcement on preorders for that book!

Other comic work also continues with Legends Of Lys Issue 14. I am in the early pages of the last issue of the volume. Once this issue wraps Ill be digging into Annual #3 for release on my website in the reading corner! I’ve included some of the in progress pages from issue 14 and cover for your viewing pleasure.

The last piece of news I will share is I have two new initiatives happening over the summer. The first is directly tied to a new publication, which will be an anthology and open to submissions called One Halloween Night. I have written several short comics under this title and have been interested in sharing them for some time. I want to open up the anthology to public submissions and will share here on my website for the month of October! Submissions officially open on 6/15/23 and close on 8/15/23, you can submit for the One Halloween Night Anthology HERE

The second initiative is going to be a print sale of my abstract art pieces with the intentions of donating any sales from the prints to HAWC which is an organization helping victims of abuse and getting them supports they need. HAWC has an annual walk to raise money each June and while I was not able to join the walk this year I wanted to do my part and try and raise some money for the organization. If you feel inspired to donate, email me a copy of your donation at brandon.gorski87@gmail.com and I will send you some art as a thank you. The Print sale will officially start on 6/30/23, I will post a formal video spotlighting the sale and most likely an additional news post.

thank you as always for your support, see you in July
